Martin Kaymer is underrated

Kaymer has won the US Open, PGA Championship and Players but somehow players like Matt kuchar and Rickie Fowler are deemed more successful than him

Sometimes you are just on fire and everything is going your way. That was Kaymers case that weekend. Great golf.

it was a great 4 rounds from kaymer. But jeez this made for one of the worst/most boring us opens ever

Kaymer is very underrated and sadly his prime was only a couple years

AHol April 14, 2020 - 8:39 pm

This is one of the most underrated performances in major championship golf!

That definitely was quite a performance by Kaymer but that was one ugly course when aerial views were shown

Kaymer making it look easy. I didn’t know he existed until I watched this… 🤷🏾‍♂️

Great stuff. A perfect performance from the German Martin Kaymer. It' so sad, that the best time of the guy is over. Anyway: Many thanks from Germany for this vid!!!

Brilliant golfer. Unfortunately even in 2014 people were focused more on McIlroy because he won 2 majors in the season and was even younger (we seem to obsess with how young players win majors as with Jack, Seve and Jordan…)

Those slo-mo player-introductions through the swing scenes are sick tho

Do you know in which country Kaymer is underrated the most? Germany. Golf has a negative image here and Germany won the soccer world cup that summer, so Kaymers Players and Open title got completely overlooked in the noise

EatCheese April 30, 2020 - 5:40 am

They didnt show kaymer’s final round at all!

If he never made the impossible to understand dreaded swingchange he might still be fighting at the top, what a stud he was at his peak.

Kaymer has a solid CV. If he was American, he’d be a way bigger name.

Bobby Boy Golf vlogs June 1, 2022 - 12:20 pm

It was sad to see Kaymer fade out after this. To win by 8 strokes in a major championship is a sign of greatness.

Wow. 38min 49 seconds brought a tear to my eye. Rose's tribute to Payne Stewart. ❤
My first time watching this coverage.

43:07 "You think it's just kinda his week?" Tells you everything about the moderators.
Yeah Kaymer is just lucky trough out the tournament. Lucky Kaymer just missing 3 fairways after 36 holes, lucky Kaymer playing -10 after 36, lucky Kaymer carrying 310 yard par 4, lucky he stayed on the green.
He definitely didn't get the amount of acknowledgement he should have gotten for one of the best US Open performances ever.
Yes I'm a golf affine German defending my buddy here.
