so we are underway here in Singapore the course is a wonderful te to Green challenge it’s a ball Striker’s Paradise very unique beautiful design really big drains Fairways are very tight in the landing areas it’s just P everything’s totally different than what we just saw so you got to adapt Prett quick he’s annoyed with himself of course he is the weather is going to be a challenge it’s humid now I’m sweating my bollocks off went through four gloves in a matter of a couple hours it takes a little bit more out of you during the week it’s sometimes it gets tough to stay sharp as soon as your mental waivers a little bit that’s where the bad golf comes in he went for it that’s going to be a tough one we had the mental toughness of last week what a show of screw Aussie it’s going to be tough to back it up obviously a highlight of I think all of our careers last week I don’t think he could have scripted it any better to be honest we’re really happy with our finish last week Brendan steel fabulous performance by him we wanted to keep it going you got to try to stay on it and you got to try to outdo the other [Music] guys Le go have arrived at Singapore at the halfway point of the 2024 season with a PGA Championship just 2 weeks away contenders set their sights on building momentum before the second major of the Season smash JC captain and defending PGA CHF Brooks kka had reason to celebrate before his title Quest began happy birthday Brooks keer 34 today he is one of the players that this week I would expect to do very well he should be there come Sunday I am number one I’m number two Brooks keper off the tea at three see the competition I’ve been running through led up see that’s a fine shot lovely start for the big fellow Brooks this for birdie and how about Brooks ker isn’t this great to see well Brooks keper is showing all the pedigree and he is on fire I’m tapping in I’m passionate this is what passion is this here now this is no accident from the start to the finish I’m cashing in well a birthday round of 66 at five under par KK’s play helps smash GC rise up that team leaderboard teammate and defending Singapore Champion Taylor gu delivered for his team with the help of caddy Mal Baker 2 52 is the whole alcol Baker is always full of fatherly advice well if it was where it was supposed to be this would be helping out of the left Taylor G had that for birdie at four there’s a spike Mark right there I don’t know if you can see it but that shadow is right on top of it this is Taylor G for birdie at nine to get to three underpar so smash GC back to 11 under that’s a lead of two at the end of round one Brook kka and smash GC were exactly where they wanted to be in Prime position to take the Singapore individual and Team Titans winning matters I pretty much won all around the world I don’t care where I play where I’m at I just want to win that’s the whole goal of teing it up if I didn’t want to win I wouldn’t be here [Music] heavy rain in Singapore delayed the start of round two just a small matter of a 4H hour 45 minute delay we’ve had 2 in of rain when play resumed Brooks kka simply continued where he left off after day one Brooks keco he doesn’t care as he said last night how hot it is how wet it is where he is in the world I just come to play and to win [Applause] wow what a shot Brooks kep cut in fabulous form first birdie of the day for Brooks Kut Brooks appears to have his mojo [Music] back three straight birdies for the PGA Champion Brooks kka and he is tied for the lead on eight under PA kka had plenty of company on a very crowded leaderboard Adrien is having an excellent start a birdie three at the [Applause] first Thomas Peters has tied for the lead this at the fifth oh he’s having a great weekend so far Thomas piz’s of the range goats KK’s former teammate and current range goat Matthew wool used a sizzling putter to join the title hunt Matthew wolf is charging here in Singapore for birdie at two this to get him to six underp of the competition it’s his third birdie in a row Matthew wolf put it for birdie and a two-stroke lead well could this be Matthew Wolf’s big week smash GC began round two in a first place tie with the Fireballs the play of Defending Singapore Champion Taylor G helped smash claim so possession of that top spot on that team leaderboard Taylor G he’s not going to give up his Singapore title without a good scrap he’s three under for his round through his opening seven holes Taylor G at 11 for birdie and smash have a one-stroke lead Ripper GC had a magical run to the team title in Adel they began to make their move for backto back victories late in round two Ripper are the lowest scorers today so far 11 under 19 under overall Lucas Herbert this for birdie at 18 he’s seven under with a chance that got rip a 220 under cam Smith to finish his day with the birdie and he makes absolutely no mistake so the charge will be on in both the individual and the team competition on Championship Sunday once again the final charge on the individual leaderboard came from Brooks kka who began to separate himself from the pack that on a pretty good starting line oh that is magnificent from Brooks kka Brooks kka looks fantastic you know he’s calm he’s patient well think fair to say that Brooks ker is back in top form Brooks 11 underpart he’s just playing beautifully the put is purring here in Singapore this would be for the three stroke lead Unstoppable Brooks kka has his Swagger back what is going to be key to closing and out tomorrow when you’re hunting for your very first win this season I just kind of keep doing what I’m doing I feel like I’m playing better um everything’s starting to kind of piece together very happy with it and then uh to make big mistakes does he he can be aggressive with this P capka of course not phased at all K’s dominating play quied the competition early in round two smash GC needed to hold off the Rowdy o of Ripper GC if they were to retain their spot on the top of the team leaderboard smash have just opened up a little bit of daylight between themselves and Ripper GC a flurry of birdies for them Jason crack this at 13 to make it consecutive birdies for him that’s nicely done smash 28 undera all Aussie Ripper GC still riding the W from their victory in Adalie began to close in on Smash can they repeat it here in Singapore well if Cam has his say they will but no sooner do they draw a shot closer to smash that GMAC bounces back from his bogey immediately to make birdie Matt Jones he’s two under par today consecutive birdes for Jonesy it’s a Battle Royale in the team contest once again all right KK’s Flawless goal left little Hope For The Challengers at the ninth book he encountered his first obstacle to the title significant moment here live with Brook capka for par he misses this hope is given to a lot of other players a first blemish of Championship Sunday River teammate Smith and Lehman seized on the opportunity come second of the difficult 13th oh not that difficult apparently Mark lean oh wow the Aussies on Brooks’s tail kka with the chance to reestablish that three-stroke given the circumstances is a huge [Music] P oh brilliant from Brook kka holding off the Australian challenge here in Singapore Ker’s clutch PS help secure the Singapore title and his place in live history and Brook End in [Music] style you better he can he’s up five-time major winner and he’s now the first man to win four live Golf League titles Ripper GC not only went backto back in Singapore but established themselves as the team to beat heading into the second half of the 2024 season well this is a Monumental effort they’ve gone backto back what is now becoming a familiar experience Ripper GC 32 underpar they are victorious it was a grind this week I mean we probably didn’t prepare as well as we did last week given some celebrations but we’re all playing great golf at the moment and I think this golf course actually really suits us I think the celebrations early in the week might have been a blessing in disguise you know we still had some some fuel in the tank at the end of the week and um you know paid off last week was something we’ll never forget in this week just icing on the cake for us it was a a really cool thing to be a part of and this is amazing too to to experience a win all together how excited are you with this win and the timing of it yeah it’s it’s all starting to come around I feel you know I’ve put in a lot of work I feel like on the golf course off the golf course it’s been a good good two weeks you won for the first time as a father last year in jeda you’re winning for the first time I believe with jeda and crew on site how cool is that yeah it’s awesome it’s it’s such a cool feeling it’s uh it’s great to have me here I finished better than 40th or 45th so the last few times he been there so B you got to see me do something uh a little better than that
