The final leg of the three-event FedExCup Playoffs series arrives as a restored East Lake Golf Club hosts the TOUR Championship. A field of 30 players battles it out in this no-cut finale for the biggest prize on TOUR. Scottie Scheffler once again heads to East Lake ranked No. 1 in the FedExCup Standings after a fabulous 2024 campaign that includes six TOUR victories and a gold medal at the Paris Olympics. This is the third straight year Scheffler enters the season finale ranked No. 1, and he’ll start two shots ahead of the pack heading into the first round. Xander Schauffele has also had a great season, claiming two major titles. The American finished T2 and T5 in recent years at East Lake and sits two shots back of Scheffler. Hideki Matsuyama also eyes his chances in Georgia this week. He won the first Playoffs event at the FedEx St. Jude Championship but withdrew from the BMW Championship last week due to a back injury. He claimed the bronze medal at the Olympics, as well as victory at The Genesis Invitational earlier this year. Others to look out for are Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, Ludvig Åberg and Viktor Hovland.

Way to do Adam Scott justice on this one… he shoots 66 and show like 2 or 3 of his shots..
That course is way too easy for those guys. Wide fairways, short rough, barely any trees or sandtraps and large flat greens. It is not a challenge for them and shouldn't be the course used for the tour championship. The course makes watching the highlights boring. With so many great and challenging golf courses in the USA, why would they choose this one for the tour championship? I just don't get it.

They need to have this tournament. 2 rounds of stroke play for the top 30 and then the top 8 play match play until there is a winner.
This bull$hit is as close to a nascar points chase as you can get. This should be scored as “points for under par”… That’s how the whole run up should be scored instead of giving handicaps on the final weekend. Nobody gives a watery $hit about a friggin FedEx cup anyway. The magic happens at Augusta, The Open, Players Championship, and the US Open. This $hit right here is just for ratings.

I tho't was supposed to be the tour CHAMPIONSHIP! 27 of he 30 players under par? Announcers said they hit driver and wedge on every par 4 on the back 9 except one. A DRIVER AND A WEDGE IS NOT CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF! They re-did this course since last year and it looks like they made it easier!
